Packing up Christmas

It's a balmy 39 degrees outside, the eighth of January and still no snow; just a flake or two here and there last week. But, that's okay because my birthday is quickly approaching and it always snows for my birthday. Snow is when the real beauty of photography can be found. Icicles, bouncing light, blankets of snow, frosted ice designs all reflecting the wonder of winter.

But because there is no snow outside I will just have to share a picture of a glass snowflake on my Christmas tree

Glass, glitter and colored lights have been all consuming in the past month and a half. Today we are going to take it all down. I feel bad for my adorable cat who is obsessed with Christmas, and I used the term to its fullest extent. She sleeps under the tree, stares at the lights and gets giddy with the sight of wrapping paper. Today she will have sad kitty eyes as we pack everything up into boxes and stick it all back in the garage.

I know.. that look just makes you want to leave it up all year long. However, I think I will scream if I trip over the misplaced recliner one more time. So I'm out to pack it all up. Enjoy the day!!!

I feel the same way your kitty looks. I hate putting the Christmas stuff away. It's depressing. it would be nice to wait till spring so at least the flowers will replace the beauty.
You snowflake is absolutely gorgeous by the way. It looks almost real, though it's a little too red, twick it with color correction.
